Ava is a shepherd mix that is about 7 months old, with a birth date of March 13, xxxx. She was rescued from our local high kill shelter after she found herself there as part of a hoarding situation. When she arrived into our rescue she was skin and bones, weighing only 12 pounds, with skin issues caused by living in filth. Look at her now! Ava has made great strides in such a short amount of time. She now weighs 30 pounds and will not get much bigger. Her skin is completely healed and her coat is full and healthy. Ava has also come a long way personality wise. She now plays like a puppy should and isn't as shy as she was. She is very smart and already knows some basic commands, such as sit. She walks well on a leash and is house trained too! She gets along with other dogs and cats. Ava is on the shy side and needs an experienced dog owner that will continue to work with her. Ava is spayed, house trained, crate trained, current on all vaccinations, and is being maintained on monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention. Even though she is crate trained, she has earned her foster moms trust outside of the crate. *Fenced in yard required (no underground fences). **This dog is currently being fostered as part of Diamonds in the Ruff Canine Rescue. An application is required, along with a home visit and small adoption fee. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
